About the company
Scioto Properties was founded in 1999 with a mission to develop and invest in both quality housing and related health care facilities for individuals with specialized needs. Fillmore’s investment, through a managed separate account, began as a convertible debenture in 2011 and was expanded into a controlling interest in 2015.
Today, Scioto’s portfolio is comprised primarily of single-family homes and commercial and specialized health care real estate customized for tenant providers of service to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, adult day care, behavioral health and substance abuse needs.
Under Fillmore’s stewardship, Scioto has grown into a $700 million enterprise with a portfolio of 1,800 properties which are leased on either a modified or triple-net basis to operators aligned with the company’s mission.
